Ink For A Lifetime

by Fil-maur Louis Nacion

“One criteria of being a true MAN is when you can stand on pain—have a tattoo”
It might seem like everyone, from rich to famous, from teens to grandfathers and from poor to obscure, have a tattoo or is planning to get one soon, but you shouldn't get a tattoo simply because it is "in" nowadays or just to prove that you are not afraid of having one. Tattoo is beautiful, artistic and “astig” but I’m telling you, TATTOOS ARE FOR LIFE. You cannot removed it anytime you want, the only way to have a tattoo safely removed is to go to a doctor and have it removed with a laser, and even then, it will leave a scar where the tattoo used to be. If you want a tattoo, THINK BEFORE YOU INK.

“Self expression, art, beauty and style” Getting a tattoo is a popular way to show off this elements of your own life. Tattoos are available in many colors or plain black, and designs span far beyond the realm of your own imagination. If you can draw it, a tattoo artist can most likely reproduce it on your body. Words, pictures, objects, and abstract designs are just a few of possible designs. If you can’t quite make up your mind, they’ve got books with thousands of options for the perfect tattoo to suit you. Also, symbolism runs deep in many tattoos, even Chinese letters, kanji and hieroglyphics are used mostly as designs. Sometimes, you can even choose to create a symbolic design of which only “you” knows the true meaning. Selecting from these and countless other tattoo designs allows for a satisfying sense of self expression.

On the other hand, having a tattoo also has its cons. People with multiple tattoos are often stereotyped as being bad, outcasts or criminals, to the point that the word “discrimination” comes along. It often happens on instances like applying for a job, riding a jeepney or even simply just walking on your own street because most people think you’re a criminal, right? Also, persons with tattoo are not allowed to donate blood within one year because they are assuring that you did not acquire anydiseases when you had tattoo. These are some consequences but there are many more dude.

Having a tattoo is painful, really painful, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that if you have one you’re strong. It is just a way of expressing. So, if you planning to have one be sure that you will love it
