DEFINE:POGI

Handsome, Beau, Gut aussehend, Bello, Guapo, POGI. All these words have but one meaning that has already been lost in time. Today, being POGI means having a handsome face. But we bros need to think, was it always like this? As to what our dear bro Heraclitus once said, change is the only constant. Everything changes, even the definition of POGI. It is sad to think that a lot of women (especially the young ones) determine if one is POGI or not by only looking at one’s face.

It is not just the face, the appeal nor that aphrodisiac smile that defines a POGI, there is also a need to consider the passion, the righteousness, the skills, the manliness and the attitude. Last night, I watched a Youtube Video entitled “Sino Si Ramon Bautista? (‘Yung Pogi). Then it came to me that being POGI is all about. In the video, Ramon Bautista was described as POGI not because he has the looks but moreover, because he helps the elderly, he cleans his own backyard, he cares about the environment, he studies and avoids bad vices, he is the law and he is a man who loves his country.

And that is what being POGI is really all about. The combination of the good looks, the awesome attitude and right principles makes a man more than just a man, but a one true POGI.
